Job summary

Kennametal seeks a Global Category Manager, Logistics to lead strategic sourcing and execution across NAM, EMEA, APAC and India with responsibility for roughly $67M in annual spend. The role drives competitive advantage through supplier relationships, contract governance, and logistics optimization to deliver value and resiliency.

You will partner with Logistics, Finance, Legal and regional teams, lead RFx events, and track savings and working capital improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain.
• 3+ years leading global sourcing initiatives and category strategies.
• Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred.
• Deep understanding of logistics networks, Incoterms, and cost drivers.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and governance of global logistics category strategies across NAM, EMEA, and APAC.
• Own sourcing and contract management for parcel, 3PL, freight, and warehousing.
• Develop annual sourcing roadmaps and category cost-reduction strategies.
• Deliver savings, working capital improvements, and service enhancements.
• Lead RFx events and negotiations with suppliers; coordinate regional support.
• Prepare executive-level sourcing recommendations and reports.
