Job summary

D.S. & Durga is seeking a highly organized Logistics Associate to join our operations team in Brooklyn.

You will work with supply chain and sales, plus external partners, to execute global shipments, optimize costs, and support logistics workflows at a fast-growing fragrance brand. In this hybrid role, you’ll coordinate shipments, monitor timelines, analyze costs, build relationships with carriers, and report on KPIs while ensuring compliance with import/export rules.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, operations, or related field.
• Strong communication and vendor management skills.
• Analytical mindset with ability to work with data to identify cost savings and performance improvements.
• Experience coordinating international shipments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Hybrid onsite/remote work capability.
• Experience with ERP and WMS systems (Business Central, Netsuite, SAP) is preferred.
• Familiarity with customs processes, Incoterms, and freight rate negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule shipments with domestic and international vendors and freight carriers.
• Monitor shipment timelines and proactively resolve delays or issues.
• Analyze shipping costs and identify opportunities to reduce expenses without compromising service levels.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with logistics partners, carriers, and vendors.
• Track KPIs related to logistics performance, cost, and delivery.
• Prepare regular reports and insights on logistics operations and cost trends.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support cross-functional logistics needs.
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and customs requirements.
• Support continuous improvement projects to enhance logistics processes.
