Job summary

Airbus Kinston is seeking a Logistics Specialist on a contract basis at the 2600 Aerosystems Blvd facility in Kinston, NC. The role focuses on coordinating inbound/outbound shipments, managing inventories, and optimizing supply chain processes with cross-functional teams including 3PL, procurement, engineering, and quality assurance.

Candidates should have 2–3 years in freight coordination, hazardous materials handling, and proficiency with SAP, MS Office, and Google Workspace.

Qualifications

Associates degree or higher in business management, logistics or supply chain preferred.
Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in freight coordination and material handling.
Experience with hazardous material shipping (IATA, IMDG, DOT) required.

Responsibilities

Maintains synchronization of supply chain by managing inventory systems and forecasting data.
Coordinate domestic and international carriers to support shipments and dates.
Provide routing and scheduling guidance for inbound/outbound shipments at optimal costs.
Ensure proper documentation and smooth customs clearance of imports/exports.
