Job summary

Sidley Austin LLP seeks a Practice Group Manager - Litigation (PGM) to lead administrative efforts for the Global Litigation Practice Group. You will partner with global leaders, office chairs, and departments to advance strategic, operational, and talent objectives across offices.

You will drive consistency, efficiency, and collaboration by coordinating with PATs, marketing, KM, and revenue teams, and by developing budgets and talent plans. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• J.D. required with a minimum of five to seven years of legal practice or equivalent law firm management experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and scheduling tools.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; able to handle complexity and time-constrained challenges.

Responsibilities

• Partner with office litigation chairs and local managers to promote consistency across offices.
• Foster communication among Global Practice Leaders and administrative departments to support litigation priorities.
• Coordinate with Marketing, KM and Revenue Management to create holistic reporting for the Global Practice Leaders.
• Develop and implement strategic business plans and objectives; stay informed on industry trends.
• Analyze practice group metrics and dashboards to drive operational improvements.
• Serve as the primary liaison coordinating strategic initiatives across offices and departments.
• Work with litigation leadership to develop budgets and staffing models.
• Create materials for internal meetings and partner sessions; assist in talent planning and onboarding.
