Job summary

T. Rowe Price is seeking a Managing Legal Counsel – Litigation in Owings Mills, MD. Lead the global litigation and dispute resolution function, advise on exposures, and manage external counsel and budgets to align with business goals and regulatory expectations.

The role collaborates with business, Compliance, Risk, and control functions to address complex regulatory issues, privacy, and enforcement matters while mentoring legal professionals. Hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar and ability to become admitted in Maryland.
• 10+ years of litigation experience, including complex commercial litigation, regulatory investigations, or enforcement matters.
• Experience managing outside counsel and litigation budgets.
• Strong strategic judgment and ability to assess legal, business, regulatory, and reputational risks.
• Excellent written advocacy, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to influence senior executives in a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Company's global litigation and dispute resolution function.
• Develop and execute litigation strategies with business leaders and outside counsel.
• Advise senior management on exposures, risks, and settlement opportunities.
• Direct outside counsel management, including retention and budgeting.
• Manage subpoenas, regulatory examinations, investigations, and enforcement matters.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Internal Audit, and other control functions.
• Provide legal support for disputes involving investment products, fiduciary obligations, and contracts.
• Develop litigation reserves, budgets, and key performance metrics.
• Present litigation developments to executives and Board committees.
