Job summary

Azenta Life Sciences is seeking an Accountant in Burlington, MA to join a global Finance team. You will support monthly reporting, audits, and internal controls across the US and international operations, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

This role requires a CPA or CA preferred and 3+ years in finance; strong communication, problem solving, and the ability to distill complex financial drivers for senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required.
• 3+ years of professional work experience in finance.
• CPA or CA designation preferred.
• Experience in life sciences or manufacturing is a plus.
• Ability to understand, review and explain financial results and drivers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver timely, accurate financial results with analysis; journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, monthly consolidated results.
• Participate in annual audits and quarterly reviews with external auditors; manage timelines and deliverables.
• Identify opportunities to create efficiencies through technology or process changes.
• Collaborate with the Global Finance Team to standardize and streamline recurring processes and data collection activities.
• Assist in setup and maintenance of processes, procedures and controls that capture, track and report financial results under US GAAP and SOX.
• Assist with projects across larger cross functional initiatives and smaller projects.
• Provide support for footnotes disclosure for financial reporting purposes.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes and systems to deliver better outcomes.
• Other responsibilities as business needs arise.
