Job summary

Skydance in Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Art Director to lead the global licensing design portfolio, shaping franchise style guides and visual systems for products across markets. You will be a hands-on creative leader and partner to the VP, guiding priority work and maintaining franchise integrity.

You will mentor Art Directors, collaborate with Character Art, Retail & Packaging, and regional teams to ensure adaptable assets and clear usage guidance, while maintaining high creative standards

Qualifications

• Exemplary portfolio spanning franchise style guides and brand identity.
• Experience leading Art Directors and collaborating across teams.
• Proven ability to direct multiple programs with strong judgment.
• Hands-on design practice translating strategy into original work.

Responsibilities

• Own creative direction across the licensing style-guide portfolio and align with leadership.
• Develop and mentor Art Directors with clear briefs and feedback.
• Create and evolve franchise visual systems, typography, colors, and editorial language.
• Lead senior stakeholders and cross-team initiatives including branding tasks.
• Coordinate with Character Art, Retail & Packaging, and regional teams on assets.
• Brief agencies and freelance talent while ensuring consistency and quality.
