Job summary

Ōura is seeking a Senior Counsel to support enterprise-wide global legal strategy and counsel across jurisdictions with a strong grounding in international expansion, global privacy, trade, and product regulatory law.

This role helps determine and execute the strategic legal roadmap across jurisdictions, operationalizes scalable governance frameworks, and partners cross‑functionally to support enable market entry, compliant product launches, and durable business operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant legal experience advising on international expansion and privacy/product regulatory matters.
• Ability to counsel cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment with business-focused guidance.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficient regulatory liaison with regulators.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal counsel on international expansion, market-entry pathways, compliance, and risk for new and existing jurisdictions.
• Advise on global privacy, cross-border transfers, notices, and vendor contracts.
• Harmonize regional requirements into global standards with pragmatic country-level deviations.
• Partner with Regulatory Affairs and Product to align regulatory pathways for new features and markets.
• Build scalable legal templates, playbooks, and guardrails for international launches.
