Job summary

Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, a Danaher operating company, seeks a seasoned Legal Counsel to provide strategic support for global commercial operations and growth. You will draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of agreements, partner with business leaders, and guide cross-functional teams on compliance and data privacy.

Ideal candidate is a licensed U.S. attorney with 3+ years at a top firm or in-house, strong leadership, and experience in life sciences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a licensed U.S. attorney with experience in a nationally recognized law firm and in-house (life sciences preferred).
• Bar membership in good standing and excellent academic credentials.
• Proven leadership and ability to mentor others.
• Extensive deal and negotiation experience, including partnerships, licensing, M&A.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to improve legal processes and adapt to AI-enabled workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead the review, drafting, and negotiation of complex global commercial agreements across sales, procurement, distribution, SaaS, licensing, and joint development.
• Provide pragmatic legal counsel on commercial matters, compliance, and data privacy, balancing legal risk with business objectives.
• Drive legal operations by improving processes, maintaining templates, and standardizing policies.
• Support enterprise priorities including M&A and cross-functional initiatives, collaborating with IP, regulatory, compliance, and privacy teams.
• Build partnerships across Beckman Coulter Life Sciences and the Danaher legal network, leading initiatives and continuous improvement.
