Job summary

Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Senior Legal Counsel to provide global legal support, resolve complex issues, and deliver practical guidance balancing risk and business goals. You'll explore AI tools to improve outputs and work with leaders across regions.

The role is remote with a strong preference for candidates located in Indianapolis, IN, reporting to the Vice President, General Counsel. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a licensed U.S. attorney with experience in a national law firm and in-house.
• Strong academic credentials with the judgment and strategic mindset to advise senior stakeholders in a complex environment.
• Demonstrated leadership through mentoring and collaboration.
• Substantial deal and negotiation experience including partnerships, licensing, and M&A.
• Awareness of how AI, governance, and technology enablement connect to practice.
• Experience managing multiple priorities and leveraging AI-enabled workflows.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and advise on commercial agreements and complex matters including antitrust, bankruptcy, clinical diagnostics, and related issues.
• Manage litigation, investigations, and regulatory matters, partnering with external counsel and supporting global product, quality, and regulatory teams.
• Provide practical guidance on global regulatory and compliance topics in partnership with Compliance.
• Support corporate governance, IP, and Legal function leadership, including IP terms, confidentiality, open-source software use, and board materials.
• Develop training, playbooks, and processes, including use of AI to enhance workflows.
