Job summary

GPC Genuine Parts Company is seeking a Technical Accounting & Policy Leader to coordinate lease accounting across subsidiaries and real estate teams in the Atlanta area.

You will prepare monthly lease entries, run controls, and contribute to ASC 606 policy governance, while supporting external audits and quarterly reporting. A hybrid work arrangement is available with occasional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables).
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with subsidiaries, Real Estate, and leased equipment suppliers to update lease accounting data.
• Prepare monthly lease accounting journal entries.
• Perform monthly and quarterly lease accounting controls.
• Participate in development, governance of company-wide accounting policies (including ASC 606).
• Support quarterly and annual reporting and liaise with auditors.
• Contribute to enterprise-wide finance initiatives and special projects.
