Job summary

GPC Genuine Parts Company in Atlanta, GA seeks a Corporate Accounting and Consolidation Analyst to support the accounting for corporate expenses, assets, and liabilities and to execute the global consolidation process.

You will partner with HR/Benefits, Risk Management, Legal, SEC Reporting, Tax, subsidiaries, Internal Audit and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting under US GAAP, with an on-site four days per week schedule and one remote day as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Understanding of financial statements and GAAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables)
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare accruals and close activities for HR/Benefits, Risk Management, Legal, and Treasury.
• Prepare journal entries for share-based compensation, dividends, intercompany allocations.
• Perform trend and variance analysis for close and forecast.
• Execute consolidation to eliminate intercompany activity and balances.
• Coordinate with IT on subsidiary ledger load, translation, and other system processes.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting; liaise with auditors.
