Genuine Parts in Atlanta, GA seeks an experienced accounting leader to oversee global lease accounting, IT accounting, and share-based compensation. This role partners with subsidiaries, IT, and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls under U.S.

GAAP. The candidate will manage close processes, review complex journal entries, and drive consistency in corporate accounting practices while developing one direct report.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
• Excellent oral/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Global Lease Accounting, monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Oversee IT Accounting, including software cost capitalization entries.
• Review share-based compensation accounting and reporting.
• Prepare asbestos liability and insurance accounting entries and memos.
• Support restructuring liability rollforwards and related reporting.
• Prepare footnotes for leases, share-based compensation, and AOCI.
• Support corporate accounting priorities, reserves, accruals, and forecasts.
• Provide leadership for one direct report.
