Yahoo Inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager to join the Global Accounting & Reporting team in the United States. The role focuses on ASC 842 lease accounting, financial reporting, and control activities across Yahoo entities.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of US GAAP experience, strong Excel skills, and experience with Oracle Financials and AI-enabled processes. The position supports hybrid work and cross-functional collaboration with Real Estate, Sourcing, and Legal teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
5+ years of progressive accounting or audit experience with US GAAP (ASC 842).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close.
Advanced Excel skills and ERP systems experience (Oracle Financials).
Experience incorporating AI tools into daily workflows.

Responsibilities

Lead global accounting treatment and compliance for lease contracts under ASC 842.
Review and approve ROU asset/liability schedules and journal entries.
Conduct monthly balance sheet and P&L variance analysis.
Own month-end general ledger reconciliations and controllership reviews (SOX).
Act as liaison for internal/external auditors during interim reviews and audits.
Identify opportunities to automate tasks with AI and reconciliation tools.
