Job summary

Goodwin's Global Operations Team is seeking a Learning & Professional Development Assistant to support global programs for lawyers and staff. The role reports to the Director of Inclusive Talent Development and collaborates with attorneys and professionals across the firm.

Responsibilities include coordinating trainings, managing budgets, contracts, invitations, and events; administering Education Assistance Policy and CLE compliance; and partnering with LPD managers to design new programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a law firm, corporate setting, educational institution, or professional services environment preferred.
• Experience with learning management systems and/or Workday is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively, professionally, courteously, and confidently with internal and external clients.
• Sound judgment and creative problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the LPD senior leadership team on global learning and professional development programs for lawyers and professional staff at all levels.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to the firm’s Goodwin 2033 strategic ten-year planning initiative.
• Provide management and logistical support for programs/events, including budgets, contracts, calendar management, invitations, room reservations, catering, materials, and on-site support.
• Assist with planning and coordination of core professional staff trainings, including developing and implementing project plans.
• Coordinate ongoing professional development programs, including designing feedback surveys, tracking data, and administering programs.
• Collaborate with LPD Managers and Directors to research, develop, and implement new training programs and initiatives.
