Job summary

Smardt Inc. in Phoenix seeks a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to spearhead HVAC product design for North America, coordinating with TICA and global teams. You will drive performance, manufacturability, and cost targets while ensuring regulatory compliance and design integrity.

The role offers leadership in cross-functional projects and a clear path to build and lead a regional design engineering team across North America.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in mechanical design engineering.
• Experience leading or mentoring teams.
• 5+ years in HVAC systems, AHUs or refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and manufacturing of HVAC products for NA market.
• Translate customer requirements into manufacturable designs.
• Own airflow and thermal performance design.
• Develop design standards and modular architectures.
