Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Senior Director, Head Launch Excellence to lead the Launch Excellence (LEX) program across Global, Regional and Affiliate teams. The role drives enterprise LEX capability within the GwL model and will shape hands-on, guided, and self-service support levels, including AI-enabled automation for repeatable launch activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Extensive biopharmaceutical commercial experience, 22-26 years across global, regional and local marketing and commercial roles.
• Demonstrated serial launch track record across brands, markets and archetypes.
• Experience leading launch excellence, readiness, operations and multi-market execution with governance.

Responsibilities

• Define and operationalize the LEX operating model, including launch-clock scope, governance and escalation paths.
• Set quality standards for launch readiness planning, milestones, risk logs and leadership touchpoints.
• Partner with Global, Regional and Affiliate teams to translate strategy into high-quality launch plans and market activation support.
• Implement clear rules for hands-on, guided and self-service LEX support based on brand priority and risk.
• Hire, onboard and manage the AIN Launch Excellence team with clear interfaces to Global, Regional and Market teams.
• Build and maintain LEX assets such as dashboards, tools, checklists and AI-enabled workflows.
• Establish governance, reporting and risk management with KPI definitions and escalation mechanisms.
• Develop learning loops, onboarding modules and communities of practice to scale learnings across brands.
