Job summary

Tanium is seeking an IT Audit Manager to build and run the audit program, lead a team of auditors, and drive remediation of control gaps. This hybrid role requires in-person attendance several days weekly in Addison, TX; Bellevue, WA; Durham, NC; Emeryville, CA; or Reston, VA.

You will develop audit methodology, coordinate with external assessors, and advise senior leadership on risk mitigation. Strong knowledge of NIST, ISO, SOC 2, and a wide range of frameworks is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; CISSP, CISM, CISA preferred.
• Extensive experience leading audit or compliance functions.
• Project management experience with a distributed team.
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800 series, FISMA, ISO 27001, ISO 27000, SOC 2 Type II.
• Exposure to audits across UK CE, TISAX, ISO 27701, GDPR, and related frameworks.
• Strong communication across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Leads and expands the audit program for the organization.
• Develops audit methodology, processes, and templates for a consistent program.
• Leads a globally distributed team of auditors and assigns work.
• Monitors KPIs, budget, deficiencies, quality, and program maturity.
• Reviews audit reports for clarity and actionable remediation.
• Coordinates with external auditors and assessors on logistics and findings.
• Ensures action plans address gaps from risk assessments and audits.
• Advises leadership on findings, risks, and mitigations.
• Keeps abreast of laws and regulations impacting the program.
• Partners with departments to implement audit principles across the organization.
