Job summary

VideoLabs is seeking a Global Licensing Executive to drive patent licensing engagements and revenue, with hybrid work options in the SF Bay Area or Dallas, Texas. You will lead negotiations, cultivate relationships with licensees, and manage complex transactions from inception to completion.

The role demands deep technical and business acumen, experience with large deals over $5M, and willingness to travel internationally.

Qualifications

• Results-oriented licensing executive with significant patent licensing experience within the High-Technology industry.
• Experience leading the development and negotiation of complex patent licensing transactions in excess of $5M.
• Demonstrated industry contacts within potential licensees across High-Tech sectors worldwide.
• Strong financial acumen to shape licensing agreements and maximize value for VideoLabs and its partners.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; fluent English essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or support patent-licensing transactions to successful completion for VideoLabs and partners.
• Cultivate licensee relationships to understand IP strategy and drive deal velocity.
• Oversee licensing negotiations through all deal phases, including due diligence and license terms.
• Initiate licensing engagements using personal contacts and industry relationships to open discussions.
• Explore and negotiate license scope, term, fields-of-use, price and related terms.
• Maintain credibility and professional conduct with VideoLabs and licensing partners.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or other technical discipline or Economics is preferred

MBA or JD from a reputable business or law school is highly desirable
