Job summary

Honeywell International Inc. is seeking a Principal Project Engineer to lead end-to-end development and launch of industrial IoT and control products blending hardware, software and mechanical engineering.

You will guide global cross-functional teams, manage scope and execution, and report to the Director of Engineering. Hybrid work in Philadelphia, PA or Lincolnshire, IL; first 90 days onsite required. Travel up to 15% with emphasis on product approvals and manufacturing readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• 6+ years managing hardware/software integrated product programs.
• 6+ years marketing/development experience with cross-site teams.
• 6+ years product certifications experience including FM/CSA/UL coordination.
• Ability to communicate with internal and external customers at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead 4-5 global new product introduction programs across hardware/software/mechanical development.
• Define scope and manage changes with stakeholders.
• Develop roadmaps, schedules, and budgets using MS Project; ensure on-time delivery.
• Identify and mitigate risks; capitalize on improvement opportunities.
• Direct cross-functional teams (10-15 across sites) and report status to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with external certification bodies for product approvals.
• Deliver hardware to manufacturing and ensure design transfer to factory processes.
• Balance technical execution with business needs and ROI objectives.
• Apply Six Sigma and continuous improvement practices.
