Job summary

Vermeer in Moonville, SC seeks a detail-oriented materials coordinator to manage inventory for manufactured and purchased parts. You will replenish stock, organize part kits, and ensure accurate transactions in Glovia to support global customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year related experience or six months Vermeer material handling experience.
• Warehouse/manufacturing experience and/or Glovia experience/training preferred.
• Forklift certification required for the work location.
• Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CAD and other business software.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic work environment.
• Ability to apply problem-solving techniques and perform root cause analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage manufacturing and/or purchased parts inventory per standard work or BOM references.
• Coordinate inventory replenishment based on production schedules with supply chain and area managers.
• Deliver part kits from shops or central receiving to internal and external customers.
• Enter material transactions into Glovia or follow standard order processes.
• Ensure accuracy of transactions and resolve discrepancies in orders.
• Follow ECN process on the production floor and track scrap levels.
• Coordinate with outside suppliers for outsourcing like heat treat and plating.
• Support 5S goals and contribute improvements to performance metrics.
• Mentor and train new team members to meet performance expectations.
