Job summary

Austin Community College is seeking a Communications Specialist for Internal Communications to join the onsite internal communications team. The role focuses on planning, coordinating, executing, and publishing communications to global employees, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely delivery across channels.

You will support workflows, collaborate with stakeholders, and help with content development and governance across platforms.

Responsibilities

• Support coordination and execution of communications projects and deliverables
• Assist with publishing and distribution of content across channels (intranet, email, SharePoint, etc.)
• Help manage workflows, timelines, and tasks within project management tools
• Perform quality assurance activities, including proofreading, formatting, fact-checking, and routing for approvals
• Maintain and update intranet content and support overall platform upkeep
• Provide general support to communicators and stakeholders, including guidance on processes and best practices
• Assist with light content development, including writing, editing, and templated design support
• Help organize and maintain communications assets, files, and archives
• Support reporting, editorial planning, and meeting preparation
• Participate in testing new features, tools, and channel capabilities
• Contribute to governance adherence and consistency across communications platforms
• Other duties as assigned
