Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Director of Intelligence & Travel Safety in McLean, VA to establish vision and strategy for threat identification, intelligence delivery, and protection of traveling employees. You will oversee a multidisciplinary team and advise senior leaders on geopolitics and risk, driving risk-aware decisions across the organization.

The role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to operate in a matrix environment while coordinating with security and risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
• At least 10 years of leadership experience within corporate security, intelligence analysis, geopolitical risk, travel risk management, or combination.
• At least 6 years of people leadership experience.
• At least 3 years of experience briefing corporate executives, boards, government officials or senior executives.
• 15+ years of leadership experience within corporate security, intelligence analysis, geopolitical risk, travel risk management, or combination.

Responsibilities

• Establish the vision, strategy, priorities, and multi-year roadmap for Intelligence and Travel Safety.
• Set intelligence priorities and analytic standards for timely identification and communication of threats.
• Provide strategic and tactical oversight of the Travel Safety program and risk frameworks.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders translating geopolitical and security developments into actionable insights.
• Lead and develop Intelligence & Travel Safety teams, fostering analytical rigor and collaboration.
