Qualifications

• Recent graduate or early-career professional with little to no industry experience.
• Internship or work experience during college years preferred.
• Proactive and collaborative mindset in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; problem-solving and analytical ability.
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with leadership potential.
• Risk Management/Insurance and Business majors preferred; some positions may require different areas of study.
• A completed undergraduate degree is required before the program begins in June 2026.

Responsibilities

• Continuing Education: Study for and pass an exam or designation related to your job function (e.g. The Institutes).
• Group Project: Collaborate with fellow Associates on a project related to emerging technologies, internal initiatives, or process improvement.
• Home Office Visits: Participate in home office visits to New York City for hands-on training, management discussions, and team-building social events.
• Cross-Departmental Learning: Hear from professionals in key insurance areas to get holistic understanding of Starr's operations.
