Job summary

Allegis Global Solutions in the United States is seeking a seasoned BISO to lead information security and data privacy initiatives in a federated model. You will align security with business strategy, oversee incident response, and coordinate audits with internal and external teams while mentoring security staff.

Qualifications

• University degree in cybersecurity, information services or business administration; Master’s preferred.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, CySA+, ITIL v3 preferred, but not required.
• 3-5 years’ experience involved in or managing an IS team and/or security operations.
• 7-10 years’ experience working in the IS industry or business operations.
• Knowledge of security certifications and frameworks such as SOC2 Type II, ISO27001, CMMC and NIST.
• Strong leadership, budgeting and business communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate information security and data privacy posture and report to Global Director of Risk and Compliance.
• Participate in governance processes for security and privacy strategies.
• Develop and communicate security and privacy plans to executives and staff.
• Oversee security certification audits and ensure controls are effective.
• Lead security incident response and coordinate with IS teams and customers as needed.
• Coordinate with external auditors and vendors on security matters.
• Educate and enforce information security policies across the organization.
• Ensure facilities and remote offices comply with applicable laws and regulations.
