Job summary

UCB is seeking a Digital Technology Lead for Information Architecture to join the Patient Solutions team, based at the UCB campus with a Boston, USA location option. You will co-design the global data foundation and drive a portfolio of digital transformation initiatives across R&D to deliver reusable, AI-ready data products for the entire company.

The role requires advanced degrees and hands-on experience with large data platforms, metadata governance, and data catalogues.

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in a scientific or technology field.
Hands-on experience with Databricks and Snowflake configuration and data pipelines.
Experience designing information architectures for global R&D data foundations.
Knowledge of ELNs, sample registries, and related lab information systems.
Experience applying AI-driven approaches to metadata management.
Strong data governance, data modelling, and handling structured/unstructured data.

Responsibilities

Co-design global research data information architecture with FAIR and ALCOA+.
Lead a digital transformation portfolio to deliver a scalable data foundation for R&D.
Implement scalable metadata management technologies to improve data quality, lineage, and discoverability.
Oversee system interdependencies, scale transversal solutions, and ensure compliant operations.
Interact with scientists and data owners across global R&D, and collaborate with DT colleagues.
Define the digital technology roadmap for Patient Solutions and accelerate transformation.
