Job summary

Genuine Parts Company seeks a Tax Manager-Global Industrial to lead international tax compliance, reporting, and planning. You will coordinate across Operations, Finance, and Tax to ensure regulatory alignment and efficient intercompany transactions.

The role requires a CPA, a strong grasp of US and foreign tax laws, and experience in public accounting or multinational practice. Based at our Atlanta area headquarters with opportunities for collaboration across global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 6+ years of tax experience within a public accounting and/or multinational public company environment.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting and economic related concepts.
• Working knowledge of U.S./Foreign tax laws.
• Strong MS Office and PeopleSoft knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the organization’s tax strategy while complying with local and international tax laws.
• Collaboratively engage across Operations, Finance, and Tax to document regulatory and intercompany transactions.
• Advise VP Tax on tax matters and the impact of laws on operations.
• Maintain relationships with external consultants to ensure best-in-class standards.
• Assist in managing global tax reporting and compliance; audit coordination; address notices with tax authorities.
• Supports U.S tax return preparation and limited international return preparation.
• Monitor changes in federal and international law applicable to the business.
• Analyze implications of potential acquisitions and mergers.
• Understand internal controls, documentation, and testing procedures.
• Understand US GAAP accounting for income taxes and SEC reporting.
