Job summary

Genuine Parts Company is seeking a Manager, Corporate Accounting and Consolidation for Global Industrial to oversee corporate expenses, assets, liabilities, and the global consolidation process, partnering with Finance, HR/Benefits, Risk Management, Legal, FP&A, SEC Reporting, Tax, subsidiaries, Internal Audit, and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting.

The role leads month-end close and intercompany eliminations, supports forecasting and budgeting with FP&A, enforces SOX

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• Active CPA (or equivalent certification) required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close for HR/Benefits, Risk Management, Legal, and Treasury functions, including accruals and reserve adjustments.
• Supervise accounting for share-based compensation and dividends.
• Supervise intercompany process and intercompany allocations.
• Advise FP&A on forecast and budget for HR/Benefits, Risk Management, Legal, and Treasury functions.
• Provide strategic leadership and full ownership of the monthly global consolidation process.
• Coordinate close calendar with subsidiaries, IT, Finance leadership, SEC Reporting, Tax, and FP&A.
• Develop and implement standardized best practices for consolidation activities.
• Partner with Tax and IT to implement new legal structures and acquisitions in close and consolidation.
• Manage chart of accounts with IT.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide actionable insights to Finance leadership.
• Lead SOX compliance controls related to consolidation processes.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting; serve as liaison with auditors.
