Genuine Parts Company seeks a Manager, Corporate Accounting and Consolidation for Global Industrial. You will own the monthly close for corporate expenses and intercompany processes, supervise share-based compensation, and ensure U.S.

GAAP compliance across global consolidation. This leadership role partners with HR, Risk, Legal, Tax, SEC Reporting, and auditors to safeguard accounting integrity while supporting strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• Active CPA certification is required or equivalent.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with consolidation exposure is expected.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modelling is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close for HR/Benefits, Risk Management, Legal, and Treasury functions, including accruals and reserve adjustments.
• Supervise accounting for share-based compensation and dividends.
• Supervise intercompany process and intercompany allocations.
• Advise FP&A on forecast and budget for HR/Benefits, Risk Management, Legal, and Treasury functions.
• Provide strategic leadership and full ownership of the monthly global consolidation process, ensuring accurate elimination of intercompany transactions and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Manage close calendar, coordinate with subsidiaries and IT for system processes and reporting.
• Develop and implement standardized best practices to streamline consolidation activities and reporting accuracy.
• Lead SOX compliance controls related to consolidation processes.
