Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding in Houston seeks a Global Project Manager for Industrial Projects to drive strategic planning, governance, and execution of complex project cargo initiatives across regions. You will translate market intelligence into actionable plans and organize key IP communications.

Required are 2–5 years in strategy or project management, strong analysis and presentation skills, and willingness to travel up to 25%. English fluency and advanced Excel/PowerPoint proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Completed studies in Business, Economics, or a comparable field.
• 2-5 years of relevant professional experience in strategic consulting, corporate strategy, project management, or comparable staff function.
• Comfortable using AI-powered tools to support research, analysis, and day-to-day productivity.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Very good English skills and willingness to travel internationally (up to 25%)

Responsibilities

• Drive the development, implementation, and follow-up of IP strategic plans, governance frameworks, and strategic roadmaps to ensure that priorities are translated into actionable initiatives and measurable progress.
• Manage the implementation and management of selected strategic projects by structuring workstreams, tracking progress, coordinating inputs, and ensuring transparent follow-up on key milestones and decisions.
• Leverage data sources and structured analytics to strengthen data-driven decision making, improve transparency on strategic initiatives, and support prioritization.
• Drive IP-internal communication of strategic priorities, including townhalls, global conferences, and leadership updates.
• Prepare governance meetings, including agenda setting, decision tracking, and management reporting.
• Collaborate with Strategy, Communications, and central functions across DHL Group
