Job summary

Voith Hydro is seeking a Global Industrial Engineer (m/f/d) to own the industrial engineering principles and support footprint, capability, flow, and investment decisions across sites worldwide.

You will define standards for Industrial Engineering, Lean, Standard Work, layout, and manufacturing readiness, and lead initiatives in DFM, Process FMEA, and investment analysis with Finance and sites.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
• Several years of professional experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or lean production in an international industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, layout planning, material flow, standard work, DFM, and Process FMEA.
• Experience in developing and implementing industrialization concepts, footprint strategies, and investment cases.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to translate technical data into sound business decisions.
• Six Sigma experience is desirable.
• High willingness to travel internationally (50%).
• Excellent English skills both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain standards for Industrial Engineering, Lean, Standard Work, layout, material flow, and manufacturing readiness.
• Identify, lead, and drive manufacturing innovation and technology opportunities and initiatives.
• Develop capability concepts, technology allocation, and technical footprint scenarios.
• Lead DFM and manufacturing readiness governance together with Engineering and Supply Chain.
• Prepare technical and economic options, including investment and payback calculations, in cooperation with Finance and the sites.
• Own lessons learned and Process FMEA methods; coach implementation at the sites.
• Provide binding technical recommendations within delegated standards and elevate exceptions where needed.
