Stripe is seeking a seasoned indirect tax professional to lead advisory for our international entities. You will determine taxability of new products, support audits, and work with cross-functional teams to implement compliant tax solutions across global markets.

The role reports to the International Indirect Tax Advisory Lead and is based in the United States. Strong communication, collaboration, and data analysis skills are essential to navigate digital services taxation in a fast-growing tech

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of relevant indirect tax knowledge, laws, and regulations.
• Bachelor's degree and professional qualification in tax or law.
• In-house experience within a multinational business and experience in legal or accounting firms.
• Experience with indirect taxes as they relate to digital services and physical products.
• Accounting experience and proficiency with ERP systems and data analytics.
• Ability to clearly interface with all levels of management.

Responsabilités

• Be an indirect tax subject matter expert (global VAT/GST) and resource to our business and finance teams, managing aspects of indirect tax planning and operations.
• Support the company's expansion internationally.
• Participate in policy matters affecting indirect taxes internationally.
• Collaborate with international indirect tax compliance leads and accounting teams on VAT/GST compliance; assist with ongoing improvement of processes.
• Support management of indirect tax audits and other matters with tax authorities internationally.
• Work with product and engineering teams to define requirements and design tax solutions for users.
• Promote indirect tax awareness and knowledge, including training and liaising with business and tax partners on changes to legislation, systems, policies, and processes.
