Job summary

Talentify in the United States seeks an Indirect Material Procurement Category Lead to support Global Machine Clothing SCM with data gathering, analysis, and supplier interaction. This role coordinates procurement across sites, negotiates contracts for MRO, capital equipment, and services, and acts as the primary liaison with suppliers.

You will track supplier performance, ensure compliance with company policies, prepare proposals, develop new sources of supply, and manage bids and purchase

Qualifications

• Strong aptitude for negotiations including some significant demonstrated success.
• Knowledge of Contract Law and other Procurement regulations.
• Ability to assess internal risks of designs or processes that limit supply options.

Responsibilities

• Supports procurement activities in a centralized environment with colleagues in multiple locations.
• Develops solution to a variety of complex problems.
• Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.
• Communicates professionally both verbally and in writing with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts.
• Represents organization as a primary contact on contracts or projects.
• Prepares proposal requests, develops new sources of supply, and awards purchase orders.
• Travel may be requested on an occasional basis up to 25%.
