Grant Thornton is seeking a Risk Management & Independence Manager to lead independence quality control and related training across the US practice. The role collaborates with PMDs, partners, and GTI member firms to evaluate relationships for independence compliance and advise engagement teams.

The position requires strong analytical and communication skills, extensive independence experience, and the ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience related to the accounting profession; CPA preferred.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and professional skills; international accounting knowledge.
• Strong MS Word skills; ability to plan projects and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Consult with PMDs and professionals on independence standards in various scenarios.
• Perform Relationship Checking activities using RCS.
• Monitor independence for larger private equity firms and SEC independence.
• Assist in evaluating services and relationships for acquisitions; training in INDUS.
• Develop and maintain independence policies and quality control documentation.
• Create technical content for training programs and firm communications.
• Liaise with Grant Thornton International and member firms on independence matters.
