Uber Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced engineering manager to lead a global team spanning Incident Command, Purple Team, Insider Threat, and Cyber Resilience.

You will establish clear command during critical incidents, align cross‑functional partners, and drive decisions to restore secure operations. You will translate lessons from real events into stronger detections, faster responses, and better readiness, while guiding automation and AI investments with appropriate human oversight.

Competenze

• 8+ years in security incident response or related fields.
• Experience managing technical teams, including hiring and performance management.
• Experience serving as incident commander for high-severity cybersecurity incidents.
• Ability to establish command, prioritize actions, and drive decisions with incomplete information.
• Working knowledge of security investigation, containment, and recovery across infra, apps, identity and cloud.
• Experience owning a technical program, setting priorities, delivering improvements, and measuring effectiveness.
• Strong written and verbal communication to senior leaders.
• Experience coordinating with Legal, Privacy, People and Communications.

• Lead global incident command team across high severity cybersecurity incidents.
• Coordinate investigation, containment, remediation, and recovery across Security, Infrastructure, Product, and Business teams.
• Communicate assessments of impact, uncertainty, and options to executives.
• Own the Cyber Resilience program with continuous testing and validation.
• Lead Purple Team adversary emulation and testing activities.
• Own the Insider Threat Program strategy, operating model, and roadmap.
• Plan tabletop exercises, incident simulations, premortems, and post-incident reviews.
• Guide engineering, automation, and AI investments for readiness and response improvements.
