The Import/Export Analyst will be responsible for providing operational expertise to enhance efficiency and cost effectiveness by establishing strong customer relationships and liaising with operations, customers and carriers to ensure satisfaction.

The role will manage all imports and exports, ensure compliance with U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 9 years of related experience.
• Expert functional, technical and people/process management skills.
• Must be able to lead major initiatives across multiple sites.
• Able to exercise independent judgment using ambiguously defined procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

• Manage all imports and exports through airlines, haulers and customs.
• Responsible for P&L control for department.
• Review contracts for required clauses and identify omissions.
• Interface with internal and external customers, foreign order administration, freight forwarders, customs officers and other functional areas to coordinate shipments.
• Maintain and update inbound/outbound carrier routing guide for site per Corporate Logistics guidelines.
• File claims with the carrier/insurance companies per Corporate Logistics procedure for compensation of lost/damaged freight.
• Classify importing items with correct Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).
• Ensure U.S. customs guidelines are followed by vendors, purchasing, broker, site logistics and other accountable parties.
