Job summary

BioMarin is seeking a Senior Director, Integrated Planning & Analytics, to lead enterprise planning across demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and finance. This hybrid role requires 2 days onsite per week in San Rafael, CA, and reports to the Technical Operations organization.

The leader drives IBP across a global network, aligning commercial, clinical, and manufacturing functions to optimize patient access and supply resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Life Sciences, or related field.
• 12+ years of progressive supply chain or operations leadership in biotech, pharmaceutical, or rare disease environments.
• Proven leadership of global S&OP/IBP processes, including long-range capacity planning, inventory strategy, and executive decision support.
• Strong command of ERP, advanced planning systems, and analytics tools that support scenario modeling and business decisions.
• Demonstrated success leading through senior executives in complex, matrixed global organizations.
• Deep understanding of life science supply chains, including access variability, long lead times, biologics complexity, and patient-critical supply continuity.
• Strong financial acumen with proven cross-functional leadership in matrixed organizations.

Responsibilities

• Own global IBP framework for rare disease planning and ensure alignment with product demand and supply.
• Lead inventory management, define policies, targets, and positioning to maximize patient access.
• Chair IBP forums across Commercial, Clinical Operations, Technical Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, and Medical.
• Establish governance and decision rights for trade-offs like allocation priorities and launch readiness.
• Drive structured decision-making in Executive IBP with clear scenarios and recommendations.
• Collaborate across global/regional planning to account for reimbursement and access variability.
• Lead a team of Integrated Planning & Analytics professionals with development and mentorship.
