Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Technical Specialist for HVAC Modules and Cabin Air Filters. You will be the global technical authority, defining subsystem roadmaps, standards, and reusable solutions across programs, while aligning architects, release engineers, suppliers, and plants.

The role requires strong data-driven decision making, independent judgment, and the ability to influence senior leaders. You will drive continuous technical excellence across GM's HVAC portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum five years in HVAC module design release or development.
• Knowledge of GM HVAC module test procedures and validation.
• Ability to lead technical direction and make independent decisions.
• Experience with cross-functional stakeholder alignment.

Responsibilities

• Set enterprise strategy for front and rear HVAC modules and cabin air filters.
• Define standards, best practices, specifications, and reusable solutions across programs.
• Lead HVAC module integration across component areas and ensure completeness.
• Drive cost, mass, quality, and schedule improvements for the portfolio.
• Provide technical governance and decision leadership across programs.
