Job summary

Metso is seeking a Global Field Service Specialist – HPGR to join the Global Field Services – Bulk, Pyro and HPGR team. You will provide technical advisory support for HPGR grinding equipment across capital projects and service engagements, including installation, commissioning, and optimization.

This role is primarily based at Metso offices in the USA, with extensive international travel to customer sites and 1–8 week assignments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical diploma in a related field.
• Site experience with installation and mechanical commissioning.
• Strong mechanical knowledge; electrical/instrumentation a plus.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent documentation, reporting and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently including international travel.
• Comfortable working at remote sites and long hours.

Responsibilities

• Review scopes of work, drawings, specifications and site safety requirements.
• Provide on-site technical advisory during HPGR installation and commissioning.
• Coordinate field activities with customers, subcontractors and Metso teams.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and process issues; propose improvements.
• Perform mechanical and process measurements and collect data.
• Maintain site documentation and daily logs.
• Deliver technical reports and recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Train customer personnel and Metso field staff on safe operation and maintenance.
