Job summary

CSL is seeking an Associate Director, Global Clinical Scientist to lead clinical development in Hematology. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on study execution across cross-functional teams in a hybrid onsite/offsite setting.

You will shape study design, oversee safety data, contribute to regulatory submissions, and drive external collaborations while mentoring junior scientists. Relocation/visa not provided, minimal travel required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of clinical research experience in biotechnology/pharma.
• Experience in clinical development strategy, protocol design, study execution, data interpretation, and scientific document authorship.
• Ability to work across multiple studies ensuring consistency with strategic objectives.
• Understanding of the drug development process and regulatory interactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific leadership in development of clinical programs within Hematology.
• Oversee safety and data integrity across studies and ensure high quality outputs.
• Author or contribute to protocols, ICFs, manuals, investigator trainings, and study materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate study protocols into operational deliverables.
• Define medical monitoring and oversight strategies for studies to ensure patient safety.
• Support regulatory interactions and preparation of submissions (IND, NDA/BLA, etc).
• Contribute to clinical development plans and strategy documentation.
• Mentor and guide junior scientists, participate in protocol improvements.
