Job summary

Jefferson Health in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a strategic sourcing professional to lead complex category procurement across the network. You will advise business units, guide category strategies, and influence stakeholders to leverage buying power and maximize savings.

The role requires strong negotiation skills, ERP experience, and the ability to collaborate with leadership, finance, and suppliers to deliver cost-effective contracts across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Healthcare or equivalent experience.
• 4 years in contract facilitation/negotiation or 4 years developing sourcing strategies or 4 years managing supplier relationships or 4 years project management in supply chain.
• Strong problem-solving, financial and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Project; knowledge of healthcare market trends.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Actively drive sourcing initiatives to meet project milestones and timelines.
• Coordinate between Supply Chain Services teams and network leaders.
• Develop sourcing initiatives, including requirements, RFx, supplier recommendations, and scoring.
• Analyze supplier proposals and facilitate fact-based supplier selection and deal reviews.
• Review supplier financials and credential checks; support contract implementation.
• Ensure savings are delivered and benefits realized; balance strategy with execution.
• Engage business units to set category strategies for complex categories.
• Meet with strategic sourcing teams to review progress against the category plan.
