Job summary

FHI 360 seeks a Senior Director for Global Health Security to lead the Health Programs Program Portfolio. This role provides strategic direction, oversees multiple project teams, and partners with stakeholders to deliver high-impact health outcomes.

The position requires extensive experience in program leadership, NGO environments, and financial oversight, with a focus on innovation, evidence-sharing, and organizational impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or international equivalent in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 15 years of project management experience; or 12 with a master’s; or 9 with a PhD.
• Minimum 8 years of leadership and line management.
• Proven experience leading complex, strategic portfolios at national or international scale.
• Significant NGO experience.
• Master’s Degree and PMP certification or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Navigate complex challenges inherent in project implementation.
• Provide strategic direction and innovative portfolio solutions.
• Analyze project performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Foster innovation and share best practices to drive impact.
• Oversee project implementation within the division and manage budgets.
