Job summary

PATH is seeking a Global Head of Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (CMC) and Non-clinical Toxicology to lead the CMC & NT workstreams across vaccine projects. This senior role shapes strategy, oversees technical teams, and ensures compliance with WHO GMP/GLP standards.

Based in the United States with hybrid remote options, you will collaborate with CVIA leadership, manage cross-functional partners, and drive delivery of critical vaccine development milestones while advancing health equity.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of vaccine or biologics industry experience.
• Ph.D. or master's in chemistry or vaccine-related field of study.
• Experience in method, equipment and process validation, and development and validation of product analytics in a cGMP environment.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 25%.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Functional area-wide leadership of CMC and NT activities across CVIA projects.
• Provide strategic guidance on process development, analytics, formulation, and manufacturing needs.
• Oversee reports for partners and donors, including risk identification and mitigation.
• Support regulatory submissions and interactions with regulatory authorities.
• Recruit, supervise, and develop CMC & NT staff; mentor senior team members.
