Job summary

XBP Global is seeking a seasoned Global Head – Tax to lead the worldwide tax function. This executive will develop and execute the global tax strategy, ensure regulatory compliance, manage risk, and drive tax planning across jurisdictions.

You will partner with senior leadership, oversee transfer pricing, BEPS initiatives, and tax reporting under US GAAP ASC 740, while leading a dispersed team and collaborating with Finance, Legal, and external advisors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation.
  • CPA/CA or Master's in Taxation preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive corporate tax leadership experience.
  • Experience leading tax functions within multinational organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of International Tax, ASC 740, OECD Guidelines, VAT/GST.
  • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Track record deploying tax-automation software and data analytics.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

XBP Global is seeking an experienced and strategic Global Head – Tax to lead the organization's worldwide tax function. This executive will be responsible for developing and executing the company's global tax strategy while ensuring compliance with all U.S. federal, state, and international tax regulations.

The successful candidate will partner closely with executive leadership to optimize the company's global tax position, manage tax risk, support mergers and acquisitions, oversee transfer pricing, and ensure accurate tax reporting across all jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global tax strategy aligned with XBP Global's business objectives.
  • Advise executive leadership on tax implications of acquisitions, restructuring, investments, and international expansion.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize the organization's global effective tax rate.
  • Monitor global tax legislation and proactively assess business impacts.
Tax Compliance & Reporting
  • Lead all U.S. Federal, State, and International tax compliance activities.
  • Oversee corporate income tax, indirect tax, VAT/GST, payroll tax, and withholding tax compliance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax filings across all operating jurisdictions.
  • Manage tax accounting and reporting under U.S. GAAP (ASC 740), including quarterly and annual reporting.
International Tax & Transfer Pricing
  • Lead transfer pricing strategy, documentation, and compliance.
  • Manage BEPS, OECD Pillar Two, and other international tax initiatives.
  • Partner with Finance and Legal teams on cross-border transactions.
  • Oversee legal entities and tax-efficient operating structures.
  • Provide strategic tax guidance on new business initiatives and global expansion.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestitures from a tax perspective.
  • Evaluate tax implications of financing structures and capital investments.
  • Drive tax planning initiatives that create long-term shareholder value.
  • Develop and maintain a strong tax governance framework.
  • Lead tax audits and manage relationships with tax authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX and internal tax controls.
  • Identify and mitigate tax risks across the enterprise.
Leadership
  • Build and lead a high-performing global tax organization.
  • Develop tax policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Partner with Finance, Treasury, Legal, HR, and Business Leaders globally.
  • Manage external tax advisors, consultants, and auditors.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation.

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing, geographically dispersed global tax team, fostering a culture of continuous development, accountability, and operational excellence.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience within Technology and Technology Enabled Services.
  • Experience managing tax operations across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America.
  • Exposure to automation and technology-enabled tax processes.
  • Experience managing outside advisors, including big 4 accounting firms.
