Job summary

Wolverine Advanced Materials in Michigan is seeking a Supply Chain & Purchasing Director to lead the Purchasing and Estimating teams and oversee sourcing of raw materials, prototypes, and capital equipment across the global supply base.

You will partner with Legal and Finance, manage supplier contracts, monitor performance, and drive cost savings while navigating markets in China, India, Europe, and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience negotiating and managing supplier contracts end-to-end.
• Sourcing in high-volatility markets; knowledge of tariffs and TIB.
• Direct experience managing purchasing across China, India, and Europe.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to present to leadership.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet, word processing, and standard business software.

Responsibilities

• Lead Purchasing and Estimating teams and set strategy.
• Create, negotiate, and manage supplier contracts with Legal and Finance.
• Chair procurement committees and monitor supplier performance.
• Track tariff and trade policy developments and adjust sourcing.
• Manage purchasing across international markets and regulatory contexts.
• Prepare market analyses to drive cost savings and delivery.
• Partner cross-functionally on new product development programs.
