Job summary

TransMedics, Inc. is seeking a Head of the OCS Kidney Program to lead clinical development, regulatory readiness, and global launch strategy. The role drives clinical use models, trial design, and cross‑functional execution with FDA and international bodies.

The position entails executive 24/7 accountability, global collaboration, and relocation planning as the company shifts HQ to Somerville, MA, while expanding kidney program activities across the U.S. and Europe.

Qualifications

• MD with advanced surgical training in abdominal organ transplantation.
• 7+ years independent surgical experience including abdominal organ procurement.
• Proven leader with ability to build, manage, and develop teams while fostering engagement and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Own all clinical input into product development, design validation, and regulatory readiness for the OCS Kidney program.
• Develop and refine the OCS Kidney use model from R&D through clinical application, ensuring alignment with product design and clinical practice.
• Lead clinical outreach to promote the program in collaboration with Commercial and Clinical Affairs teams.
• Accountable for meeting enrollment targets and ensuring timely collection and cleaning of trial data for regulatory submissions.
