Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Global Head of Events to lead a large, established global events and production team, defining the future of our event portfolio. You will set strategy with executives, focus investments on the most impactful experiences, and empower the team to deliver exceptional attendee experiences at scale.

Your remit spans flagship conferences, product launches, developer gatherings, regionals, and in-house production.

Qualifications

• In this role you will drive global events strategy across flagship conferences and experiences.
• You will lead large teams, budgets, and complex production programs across markets.
• You'll partner with executives and cross-functional teams to prioritize and deliver events.
• You'll build and maintain agency relationships and in-house production capabilities.
• You'll measure outcomes using product understanding, community engagement, and business impact.

Responsibilities

• Set global events strategy and invest in high-impact experiences.
• Partner with executives on priorities and participation in key moments.
• Create flagship gatherings and original formats to showcase products and communities.
• Collaborate with Brand, Creative, Product, Research, and Communications for cohesive experiences.
• Lead and develop a global events team; guide regional adaptation.
• Own budgets, agencies, vendors, and production in coordination with finance and legal.
• Oversee in-house production for town halls, webinars, and film projects.
• Align audience goals with Revenue/Field Marketing; connect live and digital events.
• Define success across product understanding, adoption, community, and brand metrics.
