Job summary

Ashurst Perkins Coie US LLP seeks a Senior Director of Data & Analytics to lead the global data organization, setting the enterprise data strategy and investment roadmap. You will own data architecture, governance, and analytics, including Databricks and Azure lakehouse environments, ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-efficient data platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering, analytics, data science, or related tech disciplines including cloud solutions.
• 5+ years in senior leadership managing multidisciplinary data/analytics/engineering teams.
• Experience with enterprise data architecture, lakehouse platforms, data integration, modeling, ETL/ELT, and data warehousing.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Azure, SQL, Python/PySpark.
• Knowledge of ML, MLOps, generative AI, feature stores, model deployment and AI governance.
• Experience delivering analytics/AI initiatives from prototype to production with measurable business impact.
• Strong data governance, security, metadata, lineage, compliance, and residency.
• Experience managing budgets, vendors, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience leading global teams across regions/time zones.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise data & analytics strategy, roadmap, and priorities with senior leaders.
• Oversee data architecture, governance, analytics, data science, ML engineering, and platforms.
• Own Databricks and Azure lakehouse security, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Establish standards for data integration, modeling, quality, governance, and metadata.
• Direct ML engineering and MLOps to production-ready data products.
• Enable analytics and AI via trusted data services and semantic models.
• Lead build/buy/vendor decisions and manage tech debt.
• Partner with business leaders to translate priorities into business value.
• Manage budgets, resources, and executive reporting across the data org.
• Lead a high-performing global organization across regions/time zones.
