Job summary

Solana Foundation is seeking a VP of Communications to own the global narrative and the reputation of the Solana network end to end. You will define defensible messages, build tier-one relationships, and own incident responses when the news cycle turns.

This hands-on role requires writing the statements, making the calls, and shaping a small team to operate at scale. You will balance technical detail with accessible storytelling for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years in communications or related high-scrutiny roles.
• Proven track record with tier-1 media and crisis situations.
• Ability to explain complex technology to non-technical audiences.
• Strong relationships with journalists in US business, tech, and crypto.
• Experience building a communications function or leadership in a multi-stakeholder org.

Responsibilities

• Define global narrative and defensible core messages.
• Develop and maintain tier-one media relationships in US markets.
• Own reputation management across network incidents and bugs.
• Provide executive positioning and candid counsel to leadership.
• Build external technical voices to advocate for Solana.
• Support ecosystem teams with launches and founder media training.
• Translate protocol changes for diverse audiences.
• Coordinate with Policy and Legal on regulatory moments.
• Develop measurement framework for narrative accuracy and outcomes.
