Job summary

DigitalOcean is seeking a master media strategist to unify and lead global storytelling, reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer. You will transform cross-functional PR, corporate communications, and analyst/influencer relations into a unified power engine that accelerates market awareness and trust.

You will build multi-channel global communications at scale, cultivate journalistic relationships, and provide strategic counsel to the C‑suite while leading a high-performing team of communicators.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-channel global communications and PR at scale in SaaS/tech.
• Strong understanding of crisis management and reputation risk.
• Proven ability to liaise with media entities, analysts, and executives.

Responsibilities

• Define and author the overarching global communication strategy to align enterprise goals with a compelling public voice.
• Cultivate relationships with Tier-1 tech journalists and influencers to secure high-impact placements.
• Develop proactive response frameworks and risk-mitigation models for events to safeguard corporate reputation.
• Oversee corporate digital and social media channels to optimize multi-platform engagement.
• Establish KPIs and attribution metrics to measure business impact, brand sentiment, and pipeline influence.
• Provide strategic counsel and tailored talking points to the C-suite for executive thought leadership.
• Lead, mentor, and scale a team of communication specialists and content creators.
